Welcome to This Runner’s Recipes!
My name is Laura, and I’m an RRCA and Run-Fit certified running coach, writer, distance runner, craft beer lover, sourdough enthusiast, and hiker living with my husband and two rescue dogs in the Seattle area. I am a sponsored ambassador for Runkeeper, Stonyfield, and Rainier Fruit.
I believe that no matter what your pace or favorite distance, running can and should be an enjoyable part of your life where you can push yourself beyond your self-imposed limits and towards your true potential. I work with dozens of runners in helping them achieve their goals and find joy in running – from first-time runners to those seeking a PR in various distances.
As a certified coach, I offer a variety of services targeted towards helping you as a runner achieve your personal best:
- Coaching Services (including a virtual training group and virtual one-on-one coaching)
- Downloadable Cookbook features 50 nutritious recipes for runners
- Master Your Fueling & Hydration E-Course geared toward training and race day nutrition for distance runners
This blog is where I talk about running, racing, hiking, food and nutrition, and life in general. Here you will find nutritious recipes, nutrition for runners, running tips, race recaps, and more. I strive to help others pursue their running goals and develop a healthy eating lifestyle that fuels running and nourishes the body. I also write about my own running and training for half marathon and marathons.

Running is one of my favorite activities/hobbies/obsessions. I have been running since 2008 and started racing once I finished up graduate school in 2014. My PR in the half marathon is currently 1:38:40 at the 2016 Lake Sammamish Half Marathon. In October 2015, I completed my first marathon at the Portland Marathon.
Most recently, I ran my first Boston Qualifying time with a 3:31:23 at the California International Marathon in December 2016.
Since nutrition is so important for runners (and runners like to eat!), I develop recipes for the nutritional needs of runners. Please keep in mind that I am not a certified nutritionist or dietician, nor am I a trained chef. I simply love to cook healthy food from scratch.
I live on the northern Eastside of Seattle, Washington with my husband, Ryan, and our two dogs, Charlie and Ollie. We love mountains, hiking, breweries, and anything outside, so follow along for our adventures!
If you so wish, you can contact me – I love hearing from readers! Emails can be sent to [email protected] I encourage you to comment on posts, especially if you have a question directly related to the content, or to reach out to me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
Please remember that I am not a registered dietician, personal trainer, medical professional, or trained culinary expert. I am a certified running coach, but I may not be your coach. Do what is best for you and your body, since you and I are different people with different dietary and exercise needs.
